SPF now offers Certified Water Right Examiner services to our Oregon clients

7/21/2011

SPF has long excelled in providing superior water right consulting services to our Idaho clients.  In fact, SPF staff comprise five of the 21 Water Right Examiners certified by the State of Idaho.  In addition to the many water right related services offered by SPF, we regularly conduct Beneficial Use Field Examinations and help our clients refine their water right permits to perfected Licenses.

SPF now offers these same services to our Oregon clients.  Scott King recently received his Oregon Examiner’s Certificate, number 84533CWRE.  Unlike Idaho, Oregon specifically requires that a permit holder hire a certified water right examiner to complete a survey of water use and submit to Oregon Water Resources Department a map and report detailing how and where water is being applied, typically within one year of completion.   Also, for most water right transfers, Oregon requires including a map prepared by a Certified Water Right Examiner with the transfer application.  Scott has been conducting water right examinations for SPF’s Idaho clients for many years, and is excited to now offer this service in Oregon.  He is also licensed by the State of Oregon as a Professional Engineer (certificate number 84533PE).
