Dr. Christian Petrich recently organized and moderated a workshop on conjunctive management and its implications for municipal water supplies.  Panelists included Christopher Meyer (Givens Pursley, LLP), Tom Barry (Director of Public Works, City of Meridian), Michael Fuss (Public Works Director, City of Nampa), Paul Klatt (J-U-B Engineers, Coeur d’Alene), and Fritz Haemmerle (Haemmerle & Haemmerle, PLLC, City of Hailey).  The workshop, held as part of the Association of Idaho Cities’ annual conference in Boise, focused on conjunctive management of ground water and surface water, conjunctive administration of groundwater and surface water rights, identifying – and planning for – "reasonably anticipated future needs," and general aspects of municipal water-supply planning.
