Ground and Surface Water Studies
SPF provides ground and surface water supply and water quality assessments for municipalities, new developments, agriculture, and industrial water users.
- Water Supply EvaluationsSPF will estimate water requirements, review water rights, assess ground or surface water availability based on hydrogeologic characteristics, drillers’ reports from existing wells, water level data, and other information. Water supply assessments may also include analysis of potential impacts to existing water users.
- Water Quality AssessmentsSPF will collect water samples, analyze laboratory results, review publicly available water quality data, and make recommendations for a variety of water-use applications.
- Hydrogeologic InvestigationsSPF will conduct detailed local and regional-scale hydrogeologic investigations to evaluate ground water supply, flow, availability, and quality.
- Ground Water ModelingSPF uses computer models to simulate ground water flow, ground water levels, aquifer responses to new pumping, and contaminant transport.
- Stream Flow MeasurementsSPF performs flow measurements in streams and irrigation diversions to determine flow rates, seepage losses, water rights, and other information.
